Nigerian Youth Oil & Gas Forum has described allegations that the Petroleum Equalisation Fund, PEF and Petroleum Pricing and Marketing Company, PPMC are responsible for the long queues in filling stations across the country saying that, the record made by Sharon Kasali and her team was a testimony that she will be relevant during post-PIB era.

The forum in a statement signed by its president and public relations officer, Charles Ibiang and EngrJethro Annum maintained that the lunch of PROJECT AQILLA was a bold step in repositioning of the trucking and distribution of white products in tone with transparency corporate governance and international best practices.

“In the past the petroleum distribution across the country from depot to retail points cum consumers has been characterised by so much abuse, corruption and ineffectiveness. These abuse and corruption has left a huge loss of resources basically from claims of bridging cost , transport cost, from petroleum equalisation fund, which was saddled with the responsibility in effecting the uniform pricing system, in ensuring that each marketing company complies with the law regarding the management of the transportation equalisation process and equalise the transportation differentials in white product marketing”.
