ZAMFARA State Police Commissioner, CP, Ahmed Ibrahim has declared total war against political thuggery in the state, saying any person arrested no matter what party he belongs will be made to face the full weight of the law.
CP Ibrahim declared this when he called on the Emir of Kaura-Namoda, Ahmad Mohammed Asha, in his palace.
He noted that as the campaigns and other political activities ahead of the forth coming general election were about to kick start, the police
command would not fold its arm and allow youths who are being used by some unpatriotic citizens to disrupt the relative peace being enjoyed by the people of the state.
He told the Emir that, the police force, in conjunction with other sister security agencies, will continue to be at watch and decisively deal with any erring persons or group of persons who resort to using thuggery to cause mayhem among the public in the name of politics.
In his remark, the monarch thanked the commissioner for the assessment visit, saying the effort will no doubt motivate the police in ensuring effective community policing in the state.
