Chief Samuel Adaa Maagbe, a senatorial aspirant for Benue North-East on the platform of  All Progressives Congress, APC has said his ambition to become a senator is in response to the call by his people to salvage the zone from years of neglect.

The senatorial hopeful, a former managing director, finance and administration with the moribund NITEL, also declared that if elected, better education for the people would top his agenda because of the present backwardness of the zone in education.

Maagbe stated this at his Abuja residence while charting with reporters, alleging that, the misrule of the PDP has made things very difficult for the people especially from the North-east senatorial district where conditions of learning are poor, and incentives for small and medium scale businesses lacking, hence poverty is ravaging in the area.

According to him, if elected he will use the goodwill he has garnered over the years and network effectively to create the needed environment for learning in the zone as well  give access to portable water, medication, housing, good roads amongst others.

Maagbe who stated that his people have confidence in him because of his antecedents declared: “I am seeking election to get a platform to make life more meaningful for my people at another level”.

He averred that the PDP government cared less about education, but rather seeks to enrich individuals especially at a time that the country and indeed the society are yearning for development.

The senatorial aspirant explained that the overwhelming support the party has across Nigeria is a testimony that the people are desirous of good governance,  adding that the people are prepared to vote APC massively and defend their mandate.
