SECURITY expert and Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police, Lawrence Eko Alobi at the weekend emerged as the new chairman of the South-south Community, in FCT.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the election, Alobi declared that President Goodluck Jonathan is a God gift to Nigeria and 2015 is a project that must be accomplished.
“One of the aspirations is to ensure that our illustrious son is re-elected as the President in 2015. That is our project and we are all determined to make sure that this project is achieved.
Speaking on the security situation in the country and on the allegation that President Jonathan has failed, the SoSCom Chairman said, “any person who said President Jonathan has failed is living on his own personal opinion, but as for me, as a security expert, who serve this country to the capacity of a Commissioner of Police, Nigeria is lucky to have Jonathan as a President at this critical time.
“If he were a man without compassion things would have been worse than what it is today, Jonathan is a God gift to us, he has tried, he has done well. Every governor has a duty as provided by the Constitution to ensure that the state is safe and secured and the citizens are well taken care of. If any governor decides to neglect the duty of the state and impoverish his people you cannot blame Mr. President for that”.
