Freedom Organisation of Nigeria, FON, has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the 2015 presidential election.
This call was made by the national chairman, Chief Frank Ohwofa during its state of the nation address in Abuja yesterday.
Ohwofa, who described President Jonathan as “tranquil transformer,” claimed that he had achieved for the country development which no other administration in Nigeria has ever achieved after independence.
According to him, “Mr. President has done what other presidents have failed to do by convening an all inclusive and independent National Conference to discuss national issues that will further unify our great nation.
“It is in the administration of President Jonathan that Nigeria became the largest economy in Africa and the most preferred investment destination in Africa,” he noted.
The FON chairman who summarized the other achievements of President Jonathan into nuggets of freedom said Nigerians need the winning team of President Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo in 2015 to continue with their unprecedented transformation of the country to economic prosperity, stability, security and job creation.
He concluded by condemning the actions of individuals, sects and groups capable of inciting disaffection and disunity amongst Nigerians. “We call on all Nigerians to rally behind the transformation agenda of the administration of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo to transform Nigeria.
