Alhaji Idrissa Jidda, the Majority Leader in the Borno House of Assembly, on Wednesday donated 30 cars to victims of insurgency in Ngala Local Government Area of the state.
Jidda who presented the vehicles to the victims in Maiduguri, said that the gesture was to assist persons whose cars were burnt during the recent attack by the Boko Haram insurgents in the area.
He said that though token, the assistance would go along way in cushioning the effects of the losses incurred by the victims.
The lawmaker called on the people to regard the incident as an act of God and prayed for the restoration of lasting peace in the state.
Alhaji Abacha Yusuf, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area, commended the legislator for the gesture.
