The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions and localised thunderstorms across the country on Friday.
In the forecast, NiMet predicted that central states would experience cloudy conditions with chances of localised thunderstorms over Yola, Jalingo and environs with slim chances over Abuja in the morning.
It says that prospects of localised thunderstorms are also expected over Bida, Minna and environs in the afternoon and evening.
This is contained in a Weather Outlook issued on Thursday in Abuja by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO).
It predicted partly cloudy-to-cloudy conditions in the northern states with chances of localised thunder over Maiduguri in the morning.
It states that the northern states will also experience prospects of localised thunder over the North West.
” Cloudy conditions are expected in the southern coastal areas with chances of localised thunderstorms over the west coast in the morning.
“Prospects of localised thunderstorms are also expected over the east coast in the afternoon and evening.
“Cloudy conditions are expected in the inland cities with prospects of localised thunderstorms over the west in the morning.
“Chances of localised thunderstorms are expected over the east in the afternoon and evening,” the agency predicted.
