Board members of the Nigerian Football Federation have expressed their happiness over the Super Eagles 1-0 victory over the Harambee star of Kenya.

The General Secretary of the federation, Musa Amadu and Alhaji Ahmed Kawu in separate interviews with Pilot Sports said that the defeat against Kenya has heap a sign of release on the nation because the team is at the verge of picking the world cup ticket.

In his part, NFF board member/chairman, nationwide league, Ahmed Kawu noted that the team under Coach Stephen Keshi is living no stone unturned in their quest to confront the world in Brazil come next year, adding that as the champions of Africa, Super Eagles would maintain their supremacy over other African countries throughout the remaining qualify matches.

He also said that the federation is ready to support the team to pick the ticket to Brazil and do well in the confederation’s cup as well as the world cup proper in Brazil next year.

Amadu who was with the team in Kenya where Ahmed Musa’s 80th   minutes goal gave Eagles three maximum points and also consolidated their position at the top of the group F said, the team attention has so far been shifted to Mozambique where the Eagles would strive towards getting the three points at stake before welcoming Malawi at the main bow of the Abuja National Stadium for the last group game.

“The boys and the technical crew have proved themselves once again as the worthy champions of Africa by overriding their hard  to crack opponent in a must win encounter. With the determination of the team, I don’t see any team proving difficult for us en-route to getting the ticket to Brazil,” Amadu said.

It would be recalled that Kenya got a late equalizer goal in the first leg of the tie played at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
