A Kaduna based Journalist and vice Chairman of the Kaduna Correspondent Chapel, Mallam Garba Muhammad yesterday bagged traditional title of Dallatun Kikinua in Sabon Gari Kinkinua new GRA of Ungwa Muazu District of Zazzau Emirate.
Mallam Muhammad who is an indigene of Kebbi State is also the President of the Kebbi State indigenes resident in Kaduna State was given the traditional title, following his immense contribution towards the development of the community.
The village Head of Sabon Gari Kinkinau Alhaji Suleiman Mohammed Dan Amariya said, Mallam Muhammad has demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities among his peers within the community.
According to him, “We at the village council after serious deliberation of residents who have contributed in one way or the order to the growth and development of our community, Mallam Garba Muhammad name was unanimously mentioned for his numerous contributions to the community and service to humanity.
“He is a noble person who has distinguished himself in several ways, aside helping the community, he has assisted our jobless youths to get them something doing, in fact, he is such a nice person who will positively add to the growth of our community” he said.
According to the village Head, Mallam Muhammad’s responsibilities in the village head council will include among others but to specifically ensure that there is general peace in the community.
Speaking shortly after the turbanning, the new Dallatun Kinkinau said, “I am indeed grateful to Almighty Allah for this honour done to me, I see it as a challenge and call to service and I will not relent in doing my very best Insha Allah” he said.
“ I never knew my modest and little efforts to the community was been watched and acknowledged, this traditional honor done to me will certainly spur me to doing more” he further emphasized.
In his remarks, the Director General Media and Publicity to the Governor, Ahmed Mayaki commended the village head for the honour done to Mallam Muhammad while wishing the new Dallatun Kinkinau well in his new assignment.
