The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Aderenle Shinaba, announced this when he briefed newsmen shortly after visiting the scene.

He added that 12 persons were injured in the explosion which occurred at about 2.05 p.m.

“There was an explosion in the school this afternoon and it happened right inside the school premises; that is why we had to move in.

The commissioner said the vehicle used by the suspect had also been towed to the police headquarters.

“The suspect is in our custody and we will get to know the motive behind the attack and who sent him on this deadly errand’’, he said.
