Indications have emerged that it would no longer be business as usual for suspected illegal oil thieves and vandals in Egbema and Gbaramtu oil producing communities in Delta State.
Chairman of Egebma and Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, EGCDF, Chief Michael Johnny, who gave the hint yesterday in Warri, warned that perpetuators of any kind of illegal oil bunkering and vandalisation of oil facilities in Egbema and Gbaramatu kingdoms must henceforth deist from such destructive acts or be ready to face the law of the land.
Johnny, who gave the warning in Warri, yesterday, was furious when he reaffirmed that his administration is committed to creating the enabling environment for economic activities to flourish and as well ensuring adequate safety of lives, property and oil facilities in the two oil producing kingdoms.
He charged people leaving in the rural and riverine communities to always be vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities in the area to the appropriate authorities.
