National Chairman, Nigerian Association of Hospital and Administrative Pharmacists, NAHAP, Pharm. Yakubu Maji-Isah has admonished members of the association not to focus on monetary issues or unnecessary struggles but to be focused and more united for better health care delivery in the country.

Pharm. Yakubu Maji-Isah who made the call in Asaba yesterday during

the 2014 NAHAP Week of the Delta State chapter noted that, members

should bear in mind that health care delivery is not a one-man

show but a collaborative venture for effective patient care result.

He, however, commended the Delta state chapter of NAHAP, which according to him, had overtaken Niger State which used to be in the front burner among other states of the federation, urging them to continue in their good work.

He described the awards given to different personalities that had made it in the field of medicine as something that would spur them for more hard work, suggesting that they will also welcome constructive criticism that will move the association and health sector forward, just as he urged them to always extend invitation to other state chairmen as it will enhance peer review mechanism.

Earlier, the Chairman of NAHAP Delta State, Pharm. Kingsley Amibor had urged pharmacists to be equipped to play the roles and possibly take on new roles in view of new developments in their chosen field of practice across the world.

Pharm. Amibor pointed out that the seminar was at a very auspicious time that the healthcare sector in Nigeria is in shambles owing to incessant strikes from some players in the sector who embarked on strikes at the least provocation.
