Akpabio who stated this in Uyo when he granted audience to a delegation led by a National Assembly member Mr Micah Umoh said that the move was to ensure quality representation and legislative competence for the state at all levels.
According to the governor “it is good and wise to support lawmakers who are going for second and third terms as this would enhance quality legislation, robust debate, deepened democracy and ensure that their constituents get improved democracy dividend”, he said.
The governor lauded the lawmaker for his humility and effective representation at the National Assembly identified disloyalty, impatience and lack of integrity as the bane of Nigeria’s politics.
Umoh had earlier listed his achievements to include establishment of three small-scale industries in Ikot Abasi, Mkpat Enin and Eastern Obolo, provision of solar street light and establishment of offices in the three local government areas.
The lawmaker who represents Ikot Abasi federal Constituency also listed other achievements to include reconstruction of the legendry Athlantic slave trade bridge of no return with six bunkers, extension of electricity to ALSCON in Ikot Abasi, employment of 20 staff in the three offices of the federal constituency and empowerment of more than 20 persons, among others.
