Ado-Ekiti The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ekiti State has divided the State Working Committee, SWC of the party. Addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital at a press conference jointly addressed by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Pastor Kola Oluwawole and Director General of Information and Communication, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan, said Organdie’s suspension still stands. Oluwawole , said seven out of the 14-member SWC signed the suspension with the exclusion of suspended Chairman and Deputy chairman, who is a Governorship aspirant . Aribisogan specifically told Hon Bamisile to communicate the SWC in writing if he is not interested to lead the party in acting capacity due to the suspension of the party’s chairman. The PDP Spokesman, who spoke on the attack on the party secretariat on Tuesday, where the party’s Legal Adviser, Hon Kola Adefemi and Auditor, Mr Olanrewaju Olatunji and some journalists were brutally wounded , said the setting up of Consensus Committee headed by Justice Edward Ojuolape without the approval of the SWC was responsible for the crisis. He, however told the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, to stop rejoicing over the crisis rocking the party, saying it will get out of the crisis stronger. “These people, who thought the crisis will consume us, will be disgraced in the end. PDP will get out of the present situation stronger. Whether we have crisis or not, ACN days are numbered in Ekiti” Meanwhile, a former senator, who represented Ekiti North and governorship aspirant of the PDP, Mr Ayo Arise, has condemned the invasion of the State Secretariat of the party by thugs, describing it as dangerous for the party and the State. Arise, in a statement issued yesterday, said he was highly embarrassed when he heard of the invasion of the party secretariat by gun-wielding hoodlums and called for restrain on the part of the party’s governorship aspirants.
