Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has assured that the likes of Nosa Igiebor and Raheem Lawal still

have a chance to get back into the national team set-up.

Speaking on a Channels Television programme on Thursday evening, Keshi said the national team is totally unlike club sides.

“We only have, at the maximum, six training sessions. So if you are called you have to be ready with your game,” Keshi said.

Keshi was talking about Igiebor’s absence from the team since the Eagles won the Nations Cup in February. The Betis midfielder lost his place to Sunday Mba after posting poor performances against Burkina Faso and Zambia.

“Igiebor has to raise his game but he is still part of the team being that he is a very creative player. I have talked with him and he is still a part of us.”

He also spoke concerning Beira-Mar’s Lawal who many expected to be in the team.“For Lawal, it is either his way or no way. He will always want to start a match or there is nothing else. I have also spoken to him and I believe he still has a place in the team.”

Lawal has not been invited since the list for the Nations Cup camp in Germany last year was released.
