Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ebonyi state chapter, has suspended the party’s Youth Leader, Comrade Chinedu Ogah.
The leadership of the party accused Comrade Ogah of anti-party activities which it said has manifested in Ogah’s absence in the party’s activities such as the on-going campaign rally across the state and therefore suspended him from the party and has been replaced with new a new Youth leader.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Acting Chairman and Acting Secretary of the Party, Joseph Onwe and Simon Anyigor, respectively.
The crisis rocking the Ebonyi State Chapter of PDP appears to be intractable with the continued sanctions of key officers of the party as similar suspension hammer had recently fallen on the Secretary, Uche Ali Ega and the Organizing Secretary, Amechi Oken.
Reacting on the suspension, Ogah who is also the National President of Ebonyi Youth Assembly, denied the allegation of anti-party activities and wondered how the acting chairman and his cohorts came up with the allegation.
Ogah noted that why has not been attending the party campaign rallies was because his life has been under threat allegedly by the party acting chairman and the acting secretary.
He said the meeting of the State Working Committee of the party in which his suspension was announced was held in Uburu in the house of a prominent politician in the state instead of the party secretariat located in Abakaliki which he described as unconstitutional.
According to him, it must be stated clearly that the state working committee of our party PDP has allowed sentiment to becloud her sense of reasoning by acting on any script brought before it without considering the moral and legal implications.
The PDP Youth Leader further disclosed that he has written to the National Working Committee of the party and the leader of the party, President Goodluck Jonathan over the development.
