Yobe Desert FC has raised alarm over the alleged injustice meted to them by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, disciplinary committee on the protest against it by the Kaduna Babes FC.
The Yobe Desert FC team manager, Sani Dambo claimed that his team is the latest Nigeria club side to fall victim to the NFF disciplinary committee hocus-pocus, saying that Nigerians must rise up against the way and manner the NFF disciplinary committee is giving judgment to the highest bidders.
He complained that his team defeated Kaduna Babes FC at home in one of the Nigeria National League game, but later their visitors protested against what they alleged as fans encroachment into the field.
“It was a surprise to us that Kaduna Babes FC protested against the match we defeated them in a fair contest, but worse still, the NFF disciplinary committee headed by Adeleye Adepoju in their kangaroo judgment claimed they have awarded three points on the said match to them.”
Dambo told Pilot Sports that NFF disciplinary committee should be called to order otherwise they would ground the nation’s football, adding that the rate to which the committee is going about giving judgment to highest bidders is worrisome.
He noted further that during the committee hearing, the match officials and the team (Kaduna Babes) gave conflicted account of what they claimed happened on the said day, but the committee went ahead with its verdict even when it was obvious that it was a cooked story.
“The referee said fans encroached into the field five minutes to the end, while match commissioner said it was six minutes and the club said four minutes, so which reports does one believe, yet NFF disciplinary committee accepted the cooked story aimed at pushing it cronies (highest bidders) to gain promotion at the expense of qualified clubs.”
Meanwhile, the ex-Eaglets player pointed out that since the so called judgment was given, they are yet to receive a copy of it after over seven days of the acclaimed pronouncement of the judgment, he insisted that his club would do all within its capacity to get the judgment reversed because it was delivered in bad faith.
