Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Champions League ban for a red card as Paris Saint-Germain eliminated Chelsea will be reviewed next week.
UEFA says its disciplinary panel will study the case at its meeting on 19 March.
All red-card offences in UEFA matches are reviewed to possibly extend mandatory one-match bans.
Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho said Ibrahimovic had no ill intent and should be cleared to play in the quarterfinals next month.
Ibrahimovic was sent off for a late challenge on Oscar in the first half of a last-16, second-leg match won by PSG on the away goals rule.
