Siasia wary of Zambia as Dream Team go for broke

Nigeria’s U-23 Team Head Coach, Samson Siasia has warned his Squad against any form of complacency as they clash with their Zambian counterparts in the second leg of All Africa Games, AAG, Qualifier match tomorrow, Sunday in Lusaka.
Zambia held Dream Team to a goalless draw in the first leg encounter inside Abuja National stadium a fortnight ago.
And so, Siasia-turtored side would need nothing short of victory or manageable draw to book a place ahead of AAG later this year.
According to Siasia, who also led Nigeria to secure second place during 2008 Olympic Games, he maintained that his side are not scared about the Zambian players even their coaches threats.
According to him “Lusaka is going to be a hostile environment, if we think it is not going to happen, we are just dreaming. We all know that but we shouldn’t allow that to be our problem. We have to focus on why we are there.
“So, we have been talking to the players on what they need to do. It is not all about tactics but if players can play to the instruction and do what we have instructed them and play to the game plan which is to make sure Zambian players don’t go beyond our defense not to talk of chasing them.”
The former Super Eagles handler also posited that he would not ‘park the bus’ when his side face the Zambian U23 team in the All Africa Games final qualifier this weekend in Lusaka.
“We are not going to Zambia to play a defensive tactics. We are an attacking side and we will go there to attack. We will not park the bus like Mourinho,”
“Even though we are an attacking team, we must also defend smartly. We are going to a hostile environment and we must be disciplined and avoid playing unnecessary offside traps which could cost us.
“But our mission is clear; which is to win there and that we hope to do,” he added.
