NECO gets New Registrar

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of Professor Monday Tommy Joshua as the new Registrar\ Chief Executive of National Examinations Council with effect from 30th March, 2015.
The appointment was sequel to the expiration of the tenure of the former embattled CEO, Professor Promise Nwachukwu Okpala who spent eight years in the council.
The appointment letter was dated 2nd April, 2015 which was signed by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim with Reference No: 6\S. 14T.
Professor Joshua until his appointment has been a professor of Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation in the Faculty of Education of the University of Calabar.
He was born in Afaha Nsit 11 of Nsit Ibom local government of Akwa-Ibom state. Joshua attended Calabar Polytechnic, University of Nigeria Nsuka, Iowa State University of Science and Technology Ames, Iowa State, USA and University of Calabar and obtained NCE, B. Sc (Educ), M. Sc and Ph. D respectively.
Joshua was promoted to the rank of Professor in October 2006 by the University of Calabar. He has been a regular monitor of NECO and JAMB administered examinations as well as a Consultant to many Professional bodies who has published and authored over 100 publications in many National and International journals.
He is married with four children.
