No segregation against non-natives in Ondo

Non- natives living in Ondo state have reaffirmed their support for the present administration in the state for providing basic socio-amenities to all the citizens where they live, work and play without any segregation.
The Special Assistant to the State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimko on Special interest, Alhaji Abdulkadir Adinoyi who spoke on behalf of the non-indigenes resident in the state during an interview with journalist in Akure the state capital, disclosed that there is no political, tribal or religious segregation against the non-indigenes, who he said constitute 40 per cent of the total population of the state.
According to him, the non-indigenes will continue to support the Mimiko administration because in the wisdom of the governor, the people who are the major residents of rural communities across the state are not left out among the beneficiaries of democracy dividends in the state.
“Governor Olusegun Mimiko is a leader who believe in the capacity of each citizen irrespective of where you come from or the language you speak
“In Ondo State, we have more than 300 rural communities that are being occupied by non-indigenes most of who are peasant and commercial farmers and artisans.
“When the government was siting developmental project through the state Ministry of Community Development, none of these remote rural communities were left behind
“Our people, who occupy such places, are now enjoying basic health centres, standard markets, potable water, modern school buildings cottage industries, town halls and network of motorable roads among others.
“Unlike before, our farmers can now transport their farm produce to urban centres for sale, prior to the advent of this administration; all these facilities were being concentrated in urban centres.
“This is why, during any election, these categories of people often come out en-masse to cast their votes for the ruling party in the state.’’
