The household of retired
Lieutenant-General Oladipo
Diya, Nigeria’s former Chief
of General Staff who paddled
the canoe of leadership at the
very apex as the second most
important person in Nigeria, at
a very critical time in Nigeria’s
political evolution was recently
thrown into exultation when the
son, Oyefolarin decided to quit
bachelorhood and joined the
league of responsible married
men. Few weeks back, the
hardworking Oye married his
beautiful heartthrob, Agnieszka.
The solemnization took place
at the United African Methodist
Evangelical Church Cathedral,
Abule Oja, Lagos.
General Oladipo Diya who is
an illustrious son of Odogbolu in
Ogun State, his wife and mother
of the bride, Chief Mrs. Diya from
Ishara Remo, also in Ogun were
supported heartily by friends and
family members, colleagues and
associates. Among those present
were Senator Anthony Adefuye,
Senator Femi Okunrounmu and
other important dignitaries.
As for the bride, little is known
about her, but it is speculated
that she is from the Netherlands.
But besides the disparity in
culture and customs, the bride’s
family was fully represented
with all adorning Nigerian
native dresses. Last year, the
noble family also gave out their
daughter, Barrister Oluwayemisi
Oyekorede Diya to Barrister
Oluwadamilola Omotayo
Salawu in a ceremony that was
characterised by pomp.
