A Kaduna based Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Member Contact and Mobilisation Committee, El-Rufai Campaign Organisation, Mr. Ashafa Ayuba has called on the incoming APC-led government of General Muhammadu Buhari not to completely do away with all the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ministers, noting that there are men of integrity among them whom the incoming President should be able to work with.
Speaking in a chat with newsmen in Kaduna yesterday, Ayuba also called on the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari to revoke all public firms privatised by the past administrations, particularly under the out-going President Goodluck Jonathan.
He said Buhari should make the revocation a priority as soon as he assumes office to allow the masses enjoy what belonged to them so that they could appreciate dividends of democracy.
The APC Chieftain also outlined insecurity, agriculture, education and other developmental areas for the President-elect to focus on as a matter of urgency.
According to him, “Nigerians believed the President-elect has the capacity and the will to make Nigeria realise its vision and mission; they expect to get nothing less from him. I therefore call on General Muhammadu Buhari to revoke all public organisations that were privatised by the past administrations especially those that were sold to individuals under President Goodluck Jonathan.
“Buhari should make the revocation as a matter of priority as soon as he assumes office because these privatised public firms belong to the masses, they need to enjoy the dividends of democracy from the public institutions.
“He should tackle insecurity with all sense of emergency. Peace is a prerequisite for development in all its ramifications. Nigeria needs strong, well informed, capacitated and motivated security operatives, committed to protecting the Constitution of the Federal Republic and its provisions and the practices of their professions.
