Heartland FC head coach, Erasmus Onuh Olottah is keeping a low profile despite his team reclaiming the top spot in the Nigeria Premier League after beating Kano Pillars 1-0 last Wednesday.
Olottah in a post match interview with Goal, said that he is delighted to return to the apex of the league but still has a lot of work to do if he is to make Heartland a force to be reckoned with in the league this season.
He said he would be targeting another win against Sunshine Stars whom he led to Owerri last season only to be dazed 4-0 at the end of the encounter.
“I will continue to say it that I do not have a team. We will continue to see what we can do till the end of the first stanza, but there are obvious loopholes in the team that it is only me that knows,” Onu told Goal.
“We will continue to push till the end of the first stanza and after then, we will see what is left that we are yet to do.
“We know Sunshine Stars will prove to be formidable on Sunday, but we are going to surprise them because I am very sure we are in need of maximum points than they do.”
Before last season 4-0 drubbing, Sunshine had visited Owerri twice in the last three seasons and they were able to secure two draws while apart from the 2-2 draw recorded in Akure last season, Heartland have always lost their tie to the Akure Gunners in controversial circumstances.
Heartland is on top of the league with 12 points from six matches while Sunshine is sixth on the log with 10 points from same no of games.
