Yoruba community in the 19 Northern States and Abuja has called on Nigerian Muslims and Christian faith to pray fervently for the President–elect, General Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President-elect, Professor Yemi Osinbanjo for divine intervention to enable them deliver the dividends of democracy to the people and ensure that the much sought-after change is realised.
The leader of the Community, Ambassador Muhammadu Arigbagbowo gave the advice while speaking to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
According to him, much as the President- elect is a man capable of bringing
the desired change to Nigeria he is needs of the prayers of Nigerians to succeed.
Amb Arigbagbowo added that the success of General Muhammadu Buhari at the polls is a divine intervention to redeem the country and put smile on the faces of the poor and down trodden.
“We call on all elected Governors, Senators, House of Representatives and House of Assembly Member to have it in their mind that the success of the incoming government is their own success, because they all worked for the change.
He expressed dismay over cattle rustling in Zamfara state and other parts of the North and called on President Goodluck Jonathan to tackle the issue as matter of priority.
