Stocks resume downtrend after 4-day gaining streak

TRADING activities on the Nigeria equities market closed on a negative note yesterday, as NSE ASI depreciated by 0.21% to close at 34,706.93 basis points, compared with the 0.99% appreciation recorded previously.
Its Year-to-Date,YTD returns currently stands at 0.14% Market breadth closed positive as Beta Glass led 35gainers against 25losers topped by Caverton at the end of yesterday’s session- an unimproved performance when compared with previous outlook.
Market turnover closes positive as volume moved up by 16.86% against 64.96% uptick recorded in the previous session. UBA, Transcorp and Unity bank were the most active to boost market turnover. Zenith bank and GTB top market value list.
