Imo indigenes resident in Delta State have commended the governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, for his “uncommon” transformation in Imo State.
They also congratulated Okorocha on his victory at the just concluded governorship election in the state.
The Ndi Imo-N’Uzoije (Imos in Diaspora) Delta State Chapter, in a statement on behalf of Imo indigenes in Delta State, and signed by the national coordinator and national secretary, Messrs Basil Akuwara and Ogbonna Okechukwu, noted that Okorocha’s victory at the just concluded polls was as a result of his people oriented policies and programmes which had impacted positively on the lives of the people.
The statement noted that the forum supported the re-election of Governor Okorocha to continue with his remarkable and unequalled transformation of the state especially with massive infrastructure, human capital development and free education to all levels.
They said the forum worked assiduously for the election of Governor Rochas Okorocha in 2011 and re-election in 2015 without being noticed.
The forum also appealed to the governor to create a special project with one them as a supervisor as well as create an office for Imos in Diaspora with one of them as special assistant.
They charged Okorocha to sustain the pace of development currently going on in the state, adding that posterity will forever remember him as man who came to power with the sole vision to impact positively on his people as against the past where leaders come to loot the treasury.
The members of the forum prayed God to give their performing governor the wisdom and understanding to continue to do the good works he is doing for Imo people and Nigeria in general, just as they charged governors of other eastern states to priorities people oriented policies and programmes in their administration.
