Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC, Mr. John Kennedy Opara has said the new Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Alhaji Abdullahi Mukhtar is capable of carrying the commission to another level with his wealth of experience.
Opara disclosed this in a statement made available to our correspondent in Abuja when he paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Commission recently in his office in Abuja.
The NCPC helmsman described the new Chairman as a man of humble disposition who is well experienced in Hajj Operations.
He affirmed that, “There would not have been anything called NCPC but for the support of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.” According to him, “I will always assure you of my support.”
Mr. Opara equally stressed that he had no doubt in his mind that the new Chairman would take the Hajj Commission to an enviable height.
He further stressed that the synergy between the two faiths based Agency of government must continue to grow in leaps and bounds.
He explained that, “leadership does not change who you are, but reveals who you are.”
Mr. Opara thanked the Chairman for the warm reception accorded him and his team as he prayed that his tenure would witness tremendous success.
Responding, the Chairman of NAHCON commended the NCPC boss for the visible transformation he has brought to bear in NCPC.
According to him, “For you to hold your team together to start this Commission from the scratch to a giant organization is worthy of commendation.”
Alhji Mukhtar affirmed that as a true servant of God, the Lord was behind every success the NCPC boss was able to make in the Commission, assuring that his Commission would continue to be grateful to him for his brotherly love and the synergy existing between the two agencies.
He thanked the Executive Secretary for his kind words and admonitions, adding that such kind words about the Commission had solidified him and the Commission members.
He further explained that the cordial relationship between the two agencies further demonstrated to Nigerians that they could live in peace and harmony and contribute their own quota to national development.
