New Lagos NIPR chairman vows to re-position chapter

Recently-elected Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Lagos Chapter, Mr. Joseph Okonmah, has assured stakeholders that one of the key focus of the administration would be the repositioning of the chapter for present and future challenges.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new executives of the Chapter, in Lagos recently, the new Chairman commended the electoral committee of the Chapter for ensuring a free and fair election that ushered in the present crop of executives, while appealing to members to join the new exco in its task of re-building the chapter.
While assuring of an all inclusive government, Mr. Okonmah announced the dissolution of the existing committees in the Chapter, stating that 15 new ones that would enable the present executives deliver on its electoral promises to the people, would he put in place before the chapter’s next meeting scheduled for September this year.
He also expressed the administration’s commitment towards building a befitting and functional multipurpose Secretariat and human capacity through quality, cutting edge and knowledge-based clinics in a conducive, learning environment.
While also stressing the need to increase the level of visibility through enduring partnership with media organisations, especially the Brand Journalists’ Association of Nigeria, BJAN, the new NIPR boss also assured of the administration’s resolve to critically engage other relevant stakeholders who are presently operating outside the institute.
