FOLLOWING the alleged reaction of J-Martins to Wizkid’s outburst with a fan on Instagram, the pop star has expressed his disappointment over J-Martins’ comment.
Reacting on tweeter, Wizkid tweeted: “I never called any of my fans broke…that comment was directed to one person that insulted me…not a fan. You have been in this industry long enough to know better than this and I’m very disappointed about your statement,” he said.
His reaction came after a national daily published a statement credited to J-Martins as accusing Wizkid of being pompous because he has “a few change.”
According to the statement said to have been a transcript
of J-Martins’ conversation on Hot FM in Abuja, J-Martins was said to have said: “I don’t believe because you feel you have a few
change you didn’t have a few years ago and which you cannot guarantee having in a few years to come, then you wake up and look at those people who have cheered you up, loved you, supported your music, bought your CD’s, prayed for you, just because you can lay your hands
on some phone and you call them ‘poor’. I’m not and will never be in suppor t of anyone who has such bad attitude,” he allegedly said o n the FM radio.
However, in another tweet, J-Martins has denied ‘blasting’ the singer.
According to him, the newspaper falsely reported his comment.
“Let it be known that I never blasted @wizkidayo as falsely reported. There is no point to create a controversy that doesn’t exist.”
The controversy started when Wizkid referred to a fan on his Instagram page as being ‘broke’. The singer had also lambasted the fan @spruzman telling him he has ‘no right to an opinion’ after the fan had made jest of him after a grammatical blunder.
