NIGERIAN attacking midfielder Abdul Jeleel Ajagun is excitedly looking forward to his debut appearance after joining up with Greek Super League side, Panathinaikos from Dolphins FC.
The 20-year-old has signed a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee. He has been in Athens for the past one week but could not formalize the contract due to administrative issues.
‘’I’m sure Ajagun is now in the right environment to work hard and he has the quality to make all of us very proud,’’ Paschalis Tountouris who represents the
former Dolphins ace said.
Abdul Ajagun is in excellent physical condition and it has not been ruled out that he could make his official debut for The Greens against Veria on Saturday, August 31.
He captained the Nigeria team which finished third in this year’s African Under-20 Championship.
At club level, Ajagun played for Dolphins FC for five years between 2008 and 2013, making 92 appearances and scoring 39 goals.
