The APGA governorship candidate in the forthcoming election, Chief William Obiano assured that he would sustain the tempo of multi-sectoral development achieved by Governor Obi and would continue to improve the welfare of teachers.

The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Mrs. Uju Okeke disclosed that the governor had approved the employment of 5, 000 teachers and other staff of post Primary School Service Commission and State Universal Basic Education Board.

Dr. Uju Okeke said that the state education system was being repositioned towards ICT- based process while public and private schools would continue to benefit from the various state government interventions.

She noted that the retreat would help to further broaden and strengthen the knowledge and perception of the participants for greater efficiency in tackling future challenges.
