Arewa Democrats of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP have directed all its members in the 19 northern states to take legal steps to close down any branch of the “new PDP” in their states.
The group has thrown its weight behind President Goodluck Jonathan describing recent developments in the ruling PDP, as attempts by those who do not wish the country well to distract and derail the administration from achieving its laudable goal.
In a statement signed by Alhaji Garba Kofar- Mata and Musa Dogara, Chairman and Secretary respectively and issued in Abuja yesterday at the end of an emergency meeting, called on the presidency to be extra- ordinarily careful in dealing with the Chairman of the Board of Trustee ,BOT, of PDP, Chief Tony Anienih whose comments since the extra ordinary convention of the party two weeks ago has shown that he is at home with the dissidents.
