A political organisation known as youth Progressive Forum, YPF, has called on Senator Philip Aduda to re-contest for the 2015 senatorial election in FCT, over what they described as continued demonstration of exemplary leadership qualities to the FCT youth.

The youth who made this call in Abuja during the weekend after the election of new executives, said their support was borne out of the desire for good governance which they said have been demonstrated by Aduda, who is presently representing the FCT in the National Assembly.

According to the newly elected chairman of the youth body, Mr. Austin Oche, the organisation is an umbrella of youths in the FCT who have come together to stop the continuous political and economic marginalisation of the youths and therefore decided there is the need to ensure that selfish politician does not hijack the FCT senatorial seat in 2015, that is why Phillip Aduda must conclude the good work he started in the territory.

Oche said that the organisation would ensure that youths in the FCT are not marginalised by the government, that is why they have come together as one body, to make sure that the right leaders are elected into the right public offices, saying that the era where the youths are neglected by politicians has past and should be corrected.

He also condemned youth in the FCT that are constituting themselves as nuisances, by trying to ferment troubles in different parts of the city, by threatening the peace and security of the territory, saying that anyone found wanting in thuggery, members of the organisation would disassociate themselves from them.
