Nigeria’s under U20 women national team, the Falconets will depart the country today for Tunis for the second leg FIFA world cup qualifier, tagged, ‘Canada 2014 against Tunisia and the match would be played on Sunday December 22.
The Falconets thrashed their Tunisian counterpart 4-0 in the first leg played at the Abuja National Stadium on Saturday.
The Team coordinator, Andrew Abbah said the girls are going into the second leg with a mind set to beat Tunisia and set the stage for a clash against the Bayana Bayana of South Africa which comes up first week of January 2014.
Abbah told Pilot Sports that having defeated Tunisia in Abuja the players are in a killer mood to prêt on their opponent and come out with outright victory.
‘’The spirit in camp is very high considering the fact that we now have a little knowledge of the North Africa girls compared to when we met during the first leg. The players are motivating themselves because they want to be at the world cup .They will wake up to the responsibility irrespective of any situation that may arise in Tunisia on Sunday.’’
Abbah said although the Falconets will not down play their opponent vowed that the players will do the nation proud.
