Ahead of the National Conference scheduled for next month, a former Presidential Candidate and ex- Secretary to the Federal Government, Chief OluFalae, has expressed the hope that the exercise would address the imbalance at the lower house of the National Assembly which favours the North.
The elder statesman averred that the confab should produce a new constitution which would be used in the conduct of 2015 general elections.
In an interview with journalist in Akure the Ondo State capital, Falae decried a situation where states in the North have more local governments and representatives at the House of Representative as against their counterpart in the South as unfair.
This, he explained, is injustices the conference should address.
He said, ’’Look at the Federal Constituencies. Approximately, it is two local governments per Federal constituency. Once upon a time, the National Population Commission, NPC, said Kano and Lagos States had about the same populations many years ago
