Federal Ministry of Finance yesterday said it had released the sum of N200 billion for the execution of various capital projects.
A statement from the special adviser to the Coordinating Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Paul C Nwabuikwu said, “This is the first release of capital expenditure for the year and will be followed by others.
“The release signposts the determination of the federal government to ensure that clear and measurable progress is achieved in the execution of capital projects.”
The finance ministry over the years has been under intense pressure from the federal lawmakers due to the ministry’s inability to achieve 100 percent budget implementation.
However, the latest release is a sign post of good tidings in budget implementation for the year.
