Nigerian Senators Forum and Yoruba community in the North yesterday joined to mourn the death of late Isaiah Balat who passed away on Tuesday.
The Nigerian Senators Forum comprising of both serving and non serving Senators described the news of the death of late Senator Isaiah Balat, one of its member as a rude shock.
A statement issued by the Secretary of the forum Senator AbubakarGirei and made available to newsmen in Kaduna described late Senator Balat as a humble man who has contributed in no small measures to the development of this country in the various capacities he has served, including the present position he held before his sudden death.
According to the forum, Senator Balat died when his wealth of experience is most required particularly as the nation approaches electioneering year.
The statement describes him as grassroots mobiliser and a patriotic politician who had at various level of governance contributed immensely to the political growth of the nation.
Similarly leader of Yoruba Community in the 19 Northern states and Abuja, Ambassador Mohammed Arigbabuwo described Balat’s death as a big loss to Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole.
