Coordinator, Al-Mustapha Peace, Unity and Development Initiative, APUDI, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, said engaging all mechanisms that can promote peaceful co-existence among Nigerians was unarguably the most viable means to overcome insurgency. He said this when Newspaper Vendors Association, Abuja, NVAA, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.
The former Chief Security Officer to late Head of State Sani Abacha, said that APUDI is a body saddled with the responsibility of championing the itinerary of peace, violence, free democracy and social understanding.
He said the solution that would bring social understanding to eradicate mutual suspicion among groups, factions, association and organisations in this country would be proffered.
He advised those using political platform to thwart efforts geared at gaining long-lasting peace to make Nigeria an enviable nation to desist from it.
