Two persons alleged to be connected with a baby factory in Ilutitun, Okitipupa in Ondo State, have been arraigned at the Federal High Court in Akure by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking of Persons, NAPTIP.
The accused persons, Happiness Ayodele Ogundeji, 46, and Abiodun Ogundeji, 43 , were brought to the court by men of the NAPTIP in a white Toyota bus.
The first accused, Happiness Ogundeji, was docked alongside Abiodun on 10 counts of unlawfully depriving 10 teenagers of their personal liberty.
Meanwhile, the trial justice, Mohammed Ishaq Sani, has ordered their remand in the custody of NAPTIP till next Tuesday, when the bail application would be heard.
Earlier during the arraignment, prosecution counsel from NAPTIP, Barrister C.J.Ajaegbu, informed the court that the agency had filed a charge dated February 14, against the accused.
