Enyimba FC of Aba are in Mali for their second leg crunch CAF Champions League tie against AS Real of Bamako.

The Peoples’ Elephants would be seeking to upturn the shocking 1-2 home defeat they suffered at home last weekend.

However, one of the players,Jonah Abutu  who could not make it to Bamako due to injury  said despite his absence, he is confident that the Peoples’ Elephant will get a favourable result that will see them through to the next round of the prestigious CAF Champions League.

“It is going to be difficult but I believe that we can do it even away in Bamako.”

Similarly, the sole administrator for Enyimba, Felix Anyansi has equally stated that his side will brave the odds in Bamako and secure passage to the next phase despite their poor home display in Aba last weekend.

“Like I said, it is going to be difficult but it is not an impossible mission. If we go there with the right attitude and give it our best, I am sure we can win them.’’

Anyansi  had  threatened coach Baraje to either win the match in Bamako or get sacked as Enyimba cannot be eliminate so early from the Champions League.

It could be recalled that the Peoples Elephants won the Champions League back to back in 2003 and 2004.
