Emerging facts show that all is still not well with the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the forthcoming local government election notwithstanding the consensus said to have been reached in some local government areas in that regard.
At the wake of the consensus arrangement as advised by the state leadership of the party, some aspirants in some local governments showed brinkmanship as they felt aggrieved and threatened to opt out of the party.
It was learnt that, in the Municipal local government the supposed leader of the five delegates, Mukhtar Ishaq Yakasai expected to mediate among the number of aspirants, particularly the chairmanship position, arrogated to himself the candidature as sheer exhibition of selfishness and greed.
Also, disagreement had reared its ugly head in Kumbotso as up till the time of filing this report consensus could still not be reached as the aspirants have discarded whatever mediation being held, preferring justice and fairness in the exercise.
Another local government area where the mediation for consensus got stalemated is Danbatta local government.
Other local government areas where consensus was initially reached, but which were not without rancour and misgiving include Ungogo, Gwale, Bebeji, Garko, Minjibir, Tarauni and Wudil.
Nigerian Pilot findings revealed that most aspirants in local government areas where there were complaints of injustice in the emergence of candidates could at any moment jump the wall to the other side unless there is a prompt review of the consensus process.
