Recently in Kenya, rumours made the rounds on entertainment blogs that gospel singer Emmy Kosgei was filing for divorce from her husband of six months, Apostle Anselm Madubuko of Revival Assembly, Lagos.

The gossip included the claim that she wanted half of her husband’s wealth.

Kosgei, who is in Boston for a series of performances, had dismissed the rumours as pure rubbish. “Bloggers who can write such rumours are just idlers,” she said.

Emmy at a church service in the US hit out at bloggers saying they are only out to get hits on their websites and make quick money.

“I thank God for blessing me with a wonderful man,” Emmy said. “He loves me and spoils me.”

During a recent interview, Emmy revealed that it was her husband Anselm Madubuko, who called to inform her of the rumours.

The artiste has been in the US in the past two weeks for concerts with Kenyans in Boston.

Emmy, who arrived in Dallas at the weekend, performed some of her popular hits such as Taunet Nelel at the Upendo Baptist Church.

The singer said that she is working on a new music project that will feature Nigerian, Kenyan and other beats.

Anselm and Emmy got married on Saturday August 31, 2013 in Kenya.
