Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission,
NCPC, Mr. John Kennedy Opara, has reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to fight corruption.
Opara, who was represented by the Head of Administration of the Commission, Rev. Amos Yohanna during the sensitisation of NCPC Staff by the Anti Corruption and Transparency Unit, ACTU, charged the staff not to envy those who siphon public funds, saying that they will be disgraced.
In a statement, he urged the staff of the Commission to always do what is right and be delighted in the things of God, adding that “this will go a long way to help the ACTU fight against corruption”.
Chairman of the Anti Corruption and Transparency Unit, ACTU, Mr. Joseph Akinsanya reassured that the ACTU of the Commission would do everything humanly possible to fight corruption.
Akinsanya stressed that the meeting was organised to sensitise the
staff of the Commission about the role of ACTU in the fight against
corruption in the MDAs.
Resource person at the sensitisation meeting, Mr. Dio Emmanuel, who is the ACTU Desk Officer from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, x-rayed the core values of ACTU, explaining that one of the major goals of ACTU is to correct the things that are wrong within the system of an Organisation.
He urged the staff of the Commission to shun corruption by reporting any
corrupt practices in the Commission so that ACTU can investigate and take
necessary actions.
