Board and management of the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC have approved the promotion of three persons to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshals, DCMs and 15 others to Assistant Corps Marshals, ACMs.

Speaking after the decoration of the newly promoted staff yesterday in Abuja, the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of the FRSC, Osita Chidoka, charged the promoted staff to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the Corps and the nation at large.

Chidoka, who said that good culture of promotion has been entrenched in the Corps, noted that fairness, transparency and openness have remained the cardinal principles of his operations in the Corps.

He said in the past eleven years, they have made efforts to deal with the issue of promotion, adding that they have cleared the backlog and created a transparent, open and competitive process of promotion.

FRSC boss stated that promoted officers went through necessary processes like on-line exams as well as physical test among others.

According to Chidoka, “For the first time in the Corps, we have a female Deputy Corps Marshal. We have also the full complements of the ACMs that are required in the FRSC. For the first time also, all the Zonal Commanding Officers are ACMs”.

He tasked the promoted staff to discharge their duties in line with the FRSC law, stressing that they should show openness, fairness and transparency in all their dealings with other staff.

Responding un-behalf of the promoted officers, the only female DCM in the FRSC, Ojeme Ewhrudjakpor, expressed the gratitude of the newly promoted staff and pledged their loyalty to the management of the FRSC.
