Kaduna State House of Assembly yesterday swore in Mr. Timothy Chindo as the new member representing Kauru /Chawai constituency at the State House of Assembly.
Mr. Chindo was sworn in following his emergence as the winner of a bye election conducted in Kauru/ Chawai to fill the vacant seat left behind by Shuaibu Tukura who died after a protracted illness.
The swearing in ceremony was carried out at an emergency plenary sitting called by the Speaker of the House, Alhaji Usman Tahir to enable the new member to carry out his constituency works immediately and also resume fully with other members on the House resumption day.
Speaking shortly after the swearing in ceremony, the Council Chairman of Kauru local government, Alhaji Usman Dandaura charged the new member on the need to carry everybody along in his constituency and bring dividends of democracy to the people.
He thanked the electorate for electing Chindo as their member representing Kauru/ Chawai at the State house of Assembly.
On his own part, the new member, Mr. Chindo promised to work hand in hand with all and promising never to let them down.
