Van Vicker to produce film on Ebola

Liberian- Ghanaian born actor, Va Vicker has unveiled plans to produce a movie in Liberia following the outbreak of the dreaded Ebola disease. In a recent interview Vicker said that he had been to Liberia several times for casting and production meetings.
The actor turned film maker was scheduled to go shoot the movie in Liberia in August but put it on hold because of the Ebola virus.
Van Vicker said that he did not want to take chances shooting in Liberia, until the infectious virus was contained.
Vicker started out in the entertainment world in radio as a presenter and as a television personality. Van Vicker appeared in the Ghanaian television series, Suncity, which depicted university life. Vicker was cast in his first film Divine Love as a supporting character. This film coincidentally was also the debut roles for fellow actors Jackie Aygemang and Majid Michel who were cast in the female and male lead respectively.
Vicker is usually cast as the male romantic lead, often alongside actresses Jackie Aygemang and Nadia Buari. He is often compared to fellow Ghanaian actor Majid Michel and Nigerian Ramsey Nouah.
The actor is one of the renowned African actor Worldwide. Van has directed, starred and produced five films under his sky + Orange Productions since 2008. 2012 has being his brightest year for his production house earning him best actor and director for his smash comedy ‘Joni waka’.
Van has won numerous awards for his acting. Some of his honours are: Best Male Actor 2006.Van has recently been nominated for Best Lead Actor and Best Upcoming Actor at the 2008 Africa Movie Academy Awards to be held in Nigeria.
