Former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim has appealed to the leadership and members of the People Democratic Party, PDP, in the state to support his second term ambition vowing to reclaim the Douglas House from Gov. Rocahs Okorocha and his APC in 2015.
Chief Ohakim made this known while formally declaring his intention to contest the 2015 governorship election in Imo State on the platform of PDP during a visit to the party executives at the party secretariat, Owerri.
He expressed implicit confidence on the present PDP executive in the state assuring them that he has all it takes to take back the power from APC led government, as a former governor who knows the terrain better.
The former governor who posited that 2015 governorship election would be to between a former governor and a governor, projects versus projects, experience versus experience among others.
Ohakim who berated the government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha for squandering the state funds on unnecessary structures declared that he joined the guber race again to save the image of the party as well as save the party from crises during the party primaries.
