Kano Pillars FC have been rated as the club with the highest number of fans in the Nigerian Premier League, NPL according to recent Football Special Edition Snap Poll conducted by NOIPoll.
From the data, Kano Pillars are said to be controlling 40 percent of football fans in the country followed by Enyimba FC of Aba controlling 21 percent.
A statement signed by Operating Officer/Director of Research, NOI Polls, Dr. Bell Ihua, and made available to Nigerian Pilot Sports in Abuja, notes that, great percentage of football lovers in Nigeria follow the English Premier League, EPL against the NPL according to the findings of the poll which focused on the “English and Nigerian Premier Football Leagues” to explore followership and perceptions about these leagues.
“More Nigerians follow the EPL (70%) than the NPL (25%). On the results from the NPL poll, Kano Pillars has the largest share of supporters in the Nigerian Premier League (40%) followed by Enyimba with 21% of supporters.
“A three year analysis shows that Kano Pillars has pulled more supporters in the current year than last two years. They have overtaken Enyimba with more fans and have a 19-point lead over Enyimba”, NOIPoll revealed.
