All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidates in Katsina State, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has picked Alhaji Mannir Yakubu as his running mate.
Speaking at the meeting held at Liyafa palace on Tuesday, Masari said the nomination of Mannir Yakubu was a collective decision of all stakeholders, describing him as true loyalist of the party who spent his time struggling for positive change for Katsina people.
He further said Mannir Yakubu was an honest, and good fearing person, assuring that he will not betray the party and people of the state.
Masari called on the people of the state to massively vote for APC during the 2015 election, while pledging to ensure open and transparent government, if elected into office.
Responding, Mannir Yakubu thanked the party for nominating him as the party’s running mate and promised to work for the party’s victory.
Mannir appealed to members of the party to remain united, warning them to distance themselves from any politician who would use them to foment trouble during the election.
